How to Use a Face Mask? A Guide to Your Weekly Mask Ritual
Share
Sheet masks are the most enjoyable step of Korean skincare: they provide intense moisture and care to the skin in 15-20 minutes. However, half of their effect is lost if not used correctly. Here is your step-by-step weekly mask ritual.
Step-by-step application
- Cleanse: Wash your face with a cleanser and pat dry gently with a towel.
- Apply toner: This helps the skin absorb the essence from the mask better.
- Place the mask: Align it with your eye and lip openings, and smooth out any air bubbles with your fingertips.
- Wait: Leave it on for the duration specified on the packaging (usually 15-20 minutes). Do not leave the mask on until it dries; a drying mask can draw moisture out of your skin.
- Absorb: Remove the mask and pat the remaining essence into your face and neck. There is no need to rinse.
- Seal: Apply moisturizer over it.
Which mask for which need?
- Aloe vera, hyaluronic acid: dryness and hydration needs
- Collagen, coenzyme Q10: plumping and firming
- Royal jelly, pearl, rice: radiance and vitality
- Snail, centella: repair and soothing
How often?
2-3 times a week is ideal. An extra mask after a flight, before an important day, or when your skin feels very dry makes a difference. If you keep the mask in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before use, its cooling effect will be enhanced.
More advantageous with sets
For a weekly ritual, 5-piece, 10-piece, and 20-piece mask sets are more cost-effective per unit. Additionally, an Aloe Vera mask is added to your cart as a gift on orders over 1,500 TL.
